Course Overview:

This seven-hour management-level, instructor-led training course will cover the basics of enhancing hazard mitigation projects with adaptation principles in Tribal Nations. Tribal community members of all levels of experience will be able to walk away with knowledge about applying extreme weather adaptation principles to hazard mitigation in their communities.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Analyze how extreme weather planning can inform hazard mitigation efforts in Tribal Nations.

  2. Analyze how traditional ecological knowledge can support hazard mitigation efforts in Tribal Nations.
