Course Overview:

This awareness level course will provide the learner with an overview of business financial literacy and the need for pre-disaster planning.  The participants will be provided with case studies to highlight the concepts provided in the course.  They will also receive a high-level overview of planning for the financial aspects of disasters. 

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this course, the participant will be able to successfully complete post-course questions based on the following tasks:

  1. Identify the kinds of financial disasters that can affect a business and identify the key elements of business financial literacy;
  2. Recognize key partners in the public and private sectors that provide information and guidance in emergency management and financial planning;
  3. Re-state the public (government) and non-governmental programs that can assist in financial disaster preparedness for businesses;
  4. Identify initial steps towards business financial preparedness for disasters.
