Course Overview:
This asynchronous web-based training offers participants a comprehensive introduction to the impacts of extreme weather events and the associated risks and hazards on emergency management, with a specific emphasis on Tribal Nation protocols. Through a series of modules, participants will explore the changing weather patterns and their impacts on communities and Tribal emergency management. Furthermore, the course examines strategies for integrating extreme weather risks in Tribal resilience and preparedness. The series of practical exercises and case studies underscores the significance of community resilience, engagement, and participation to equip the necessary knowledge and understanding of the extreme weather trends for Tribal communities. The course will teach participants tailored strategies for Tribal Nations to prepare for extreme weather events and enhance their adaptation to the changing environment.
